How It Works:
Cholecalciferol promotes the absorption of calcium from the gut and helps maintain adequate calcium levels in the body. It regulates the blood levels of calcium and phosphorus and also plays key role in the re-absorption of calcium from bone tissue.
Uncommon: high levels of calcium in blood, vomiting, urge to vomit, increased thirst, drowsiness or confusion, constipation, stomach ache, loss of appetite, high levels of calcium in urine, muscle weakness, kidney stones.Rare: Skin allergies.
Cholecalciferol is a form of vitamin D, also known as vitamin D3. It is used to prevent and treat vitamin D deficiency in children and adults (rickets and osteomalacia).
Do not give cholecalciferol capsules to children under 12 years. Make sure you take 600-1200mg of calcium per dayDo not take cholecalciferol.
